We are so proud to announce that we are official sponsors of the San Antonio Scorpions! We are teaming up with San Antonio’s own great soccer team with our “CLEAN SHEET” promotion. In soccer, a CLEAN SHEET is a game when our Scorpions do not allow our opponent to score on us. Often referred to as a “shut out,” in soccer it is called a CLEAN SHEET. Friday, April 27th, is National Arbor Day! Because of last year’s drought, Texas has lost approximately 1 million trees! So we encourage everybody to Celebrate Arbor Day in a personal way by planting a tree yourself. It is an act of optimism and kindness, a labor of love and a commitment to stewardship.

Five Star Cleaners joined the Drycleaning & Laundry Institute’s Cleaners Care Hanger Recycling Program, and to date drycleaners in 37 states have pledged to reduce landfill waste by 10 million hangers. The first 3 million pledges were received in just the first week! Five Star has pledged to trace the number of hangers recovered, reused or recycled. Stay tuned…

It isn’t a bad idea to double check all those outfits your family will be wearing on Easter Sunday. There is nothing worse than pulling out a dress, shirt or slacks on Sunday morning only to discover a stain. There is still time to drop them of at one of our 18 convenient locations.

A neighbor pulled her vest out of her closet only to find it was stained…with heaven knows what! Not knowing what it was or what to do, she asked her friend who said, “Oh, take it to Five Star Cleaners.” It is now just like new, and we hope she spreads the word about us.
